The International Lightning Protection Symposium is an international regular conference held every two years which aims to promote the exchange and cooperation of the latest scientific research and innovative technology in the International lightning protection field.

雷电防护国际研讨会已在法国、西班牙、葡萄牙隆重举办了三届，2018年将在中国深圳举办第四届。

The International Lightning Protection Symposium has been held in France, Spain and Portugal for three sessions. The fourth session will be held in Shenzhen, China, in 2018.

本届会议由深圳市防雷协会和上海市防雷协会联合承办，大会主席为中国气象科学研究院/复旦大学张义军教授，大会组委会由来自中国、澳大利亚、巴西、法国、葡萄牙、西班牙等国内外专家组成。  

This session is jointly hosted by Shenzhen Lightning Protection Association and Shanghai Lightning Protection Association, chaired by Prof. Yijun ZHANG – expert from Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences and Fudan University. The organizing committee is composed of experts from China, Australia, Brazil, France, Portugal, Spain and other countries.

本届大会以雷电防护创新技术和智能防雷为主题，围绕雷电防护的设计、经验和实践；雷电物理学研究进展；实验室模拟雷击、自然雷击、人工引雷；雷电防护标准；SPD技术；智能雷电防护技术；雷电探测和预警；防雷接地技术及雷电灾害防御相关的学术和技术问题等进行报告和讨论。

This session symposium takes the Lightning Protection Innovation Technology and the Intelligent Lightning Protection as the theme, revolves to report and discuss for the lightning protection’s design, experience and practice, the research progress of the lightning Physics, the laboratory simulation of lightning, the natural lightning and artificial lightning test, the lightning protection standards, the SPD technology, the intelligent Lightning protection technology, the lightning detection and warning and the academic and technical issues related to lightning protection grounding technology and the lightning disaster defense, etc..

这次会议将为国内外防雷科研机构、院校、相关职能部门的专家学者，和企业各界人士提供良好的沟通契机，促进国际交流与合作。我们诚挚欢迎国内外防雷各界人士 出席本届大会，共同探讨雷电科学理论与实践应用的热点问题，共谋雷电防护未来发展趋势。

This symposium will provide a good opportunity for communication and cooperation between domestic and foreign experts and scholars from the lightning protection research institutions, academies and related functional departments as well as personages of all circles from enterprises. We sincerely welcome all the lightning protection people from China and abroad to attend this conference to jointly discuss the lightning science theory and the practical application of the hot issues and seek common development cause of the lighting protection future.
